Dhom was born in the Philippines where he lived for most of his childhood. He moved to London, England as a young adult to pursue cooking. Before emigrating to Canada, Dhom owned a restaurant in a golf club in Wales and a cafe previous to that. Dhom and his family arrived in Canada 7 years ago with the hopes of owning a restaurant, and he is living out his dream.
Philippine cuisine continues to evolve as new styles of cooking and ingredients find their way into recipes. Traditional dishes, both simple and elaborate, combine indigenous and foreign influences to create unique, delicious food.
